CharliTito Ortiz was born in Huntington Beach, California on 23 January 1975. Jacob Christopher Ortiz is his birth name. He was a resident of Huntington Beach until he moved to Santa Ana, California. Ortiz is of half-Mexican from his paternal side. His father was Sam Ortiz and he gave him the nickname Tito. Both of his parents were heroin addicts making it difficult for him to develop. He was part of bands. He also took drugs, such as cocaine. As a youngster was sent to juvenile halls. When he was 13 the parents split up. He attended Huntington Beach High School and wrestled.
