Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson, born July 10, 1980, is an American actor, singer as well as entrepreneur and philanthropist. Simpson made her movie debut on The Dukes of Hazzard (2006) as Daisy Duke after the release of ReJoyce The Christmas Album (2004). The soundtrack of the film also included an original song called "These Boots are Made for Walking". The singer released her fifth album, A Public Affair, in 2006 and also appeared in the romantic comedy film Employee of the month. Simpson was a convert to country music after the release her sixth album Do You Know (2008). Simpson started The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005. It was a fashion-focused collection with 34 categories of merchandise. It is the most successful known brand licensed by a celebrity with more than $1 billion in sales so far. Simpson was also a guest in The Price of Beauty, which was a reality-TV show in 2010. She also supervised the fashion designs for Fashion Star 2 and 3. Simpson is married Eric Johnson and has three children.
