Mitchell's closest buddy Angela, who was 15 years old when she died loss of life in April 1997 as a result of a traffic accident, died on April 11, 1997. Mitchell found this incredibly difficult and Angela became the basis for the song Angel the song, which is on Mitchell's debut album. In the 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she wrote about her experience. Mitchell's 15 year old friend Angela passed away in a fatal car crash. Mitchell discovered this to be incredibly hard and Angela was the inspiration for her song Angel, which appears on her debut album. The book Chicken Soup For the Preteen Soul, and 7th Heaven's Episode "Nothing Endures But Change" are also a detailed story of the incident.
