Dina was born in Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she changed her location in Dix Hills on Long Island right before the end of her junior year. There are two of her younger siblings as well as an elder brother. When she was between the ages of 9 to 16 the first time she was exposed to the world of modeling was when she started modeling. Her acting career began in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was studying Sanford Meisner's techniques with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who were trained by this method along with Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. The first role she acted in was with Beverly Hills 90210. This required her moving out into Los Angeles. After landing the lead role on Johnny Mnemonic where she did most of the stunts on her own, she established herself as an actress athletic. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her agent for talent, she was able to secure a regular spot on Friends.
