Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to the family of South London. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, as is her mom who's English. Her family was raised on a council estate located south of London. In the ages of 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She was a part of various stages during her high time at school, including the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career with the film Storm Damage. She's appeared as guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. The film's success resulted in her being cast as Elisha as a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside playing the character of Ollie. In 2008, she got Bambi's part on the ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was also a part of the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was eventually ended. In February of 2011 she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. After being a regular for the first two seasons it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe was set to leave the show after her appearance on the pilot episode of the third season. She was Tituba in the show Salem in 2014 until 2016. In June 2012, the actress was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also played a part with her on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. She was raised by the parents Roy and Patty together with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley lived in stadiums or baseball parks because the four brothers who were athletic played hockey and baseball as well as both during summer and winter. Ashley could never walk, but she danced. At the age of two, she began Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley developed a passion for dancing shortly after she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley competed in top-level divisions in jazz, tap hip-hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe until she graduated from high school. She won the top soloist awards at all of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
