Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. As well as BJJ classes, she also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. In the age of 18 years old, Ladd had her amateur debut at WCFC. Ladd kept building on her win at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She finished all of her competitors in the initial round. Then, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian prior to going to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen as she beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's amateur records were damaged. Ladd rebounded from the loss to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC. Invicta 11, she was able to dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. Aspen won her next bout with Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission by armbar. Aspen's superior wrestling skill was able to take down McGill in the first round, and she was able to end her fight in the third round via TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen then went on to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy by TKO. At Invicta FC21, she was the final bout for the company. She defeated Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina with the ground and pound strategy which resulted in a TKO second round victory. Her dominance grew and she got a bigger win when she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger to the punch in the initial round, she was awarded a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos anjos-lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first fight she's had in a major role. The two fights were one of the most competitive fights that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her winning streak. Following a brief break her return to the ring and finished Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her loss was a unanimous one.
